Student Teacher at Carmel High School (2013)

Worked as a student teacher at Carmel High School in Carmel, IN under nationally-renown music educator and composer, Richard Saucedo.  Was responsible for working with all six concert bands, the fourth jazz band, the pep band, and leading orchestra sectionals.  Was also given the opportunity to lead the fourth jazz band's performance alone at the Ball State Jazz Festival at Ball State University.

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Camp Bernstein Cabin Counselor and Trombone Sectional Instructor​ (2013)

Responsibile for teaching middle school trombone sectionals, performing with faculty ensembles, and acted as a cabin counselor for an entire summer.  Gained a great deal of professional experience teaching, guiding, and living with middle school aged students.

Young Winds Instructor​ (2012)

One of the full ensemble instructors for Indiana University's Young Winds program, a weekend concert band program for students around Monroe County, wishing to progress further on their instruments.  Responsibilities included leading full ensemble rehearsals, teaching sectionals, and giving private lessons.

​Bloomington North High School Instrumental Field Experience​​​ (2012)

Gained instructional experience while taking part in weekly field placements at Bloomington North High School.  Responsibilities included leading instrumental sectionals and occasional full ensemble rehearsals.



​Mundelein High School Marching Band Camp- Staff Member/Brass and Woodwind Coach​​​​ (2012)
Paid Staff Member at Mundelein High School Marching Mustangs Band Camp.  Gained valuable teaching experience while leading music and marching sectionals.



Internship in Composition, The Performance Project (2012)

Worked as collaborator with Matthew Baber, founder of the company, The Performance Project.  Assisted in the composition, editing, and notation of music for an original arrangement of Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair, for voice and piano.

Worked as a volunteer usher at the Indiana University

Auditorium. Acquired great experience in interacting with patrons, especially children and elderly citizens.  Responsible for greeting patrons, handling programs, and assisting patrons to their seats.​

 

Indiana University Crabb (Soccer) Band

Performed with and employed by the Indiana University Crabb Band, a paid ensemble that performs at home Indiana University Men and Women soccer matches.  Responsible for providing energy to the stadium, and interacting with IU soccer fans.
